The Masked Revenger Rides Again, or, The Important Portent
It was Tuesday, so all of the Wisdom Stores were closed. That was a portent of what was to come.
Mickey’s Roadster Racer pulled up to the gas pump. Olivia filled it with 3 Mickey Ears of petrol. She noticed that there was no extra charge for the rocket fuel ethanol. “ Why not? “ she thought.
She pulled up to the starting line.
Next to her came the Speed Champions Scuderia Ferrari SF 16-H. The driver of this awesome Formula One race car was, for better or for worse, Buildable Figure Chewbacca. The Scuderia was attached-albeit, loosely- to his bandolier on his back. It was actually attached very loosely because Chewy’s Buildable Figure bandolier does not extend onto his back. So, he just carried his Scud on his back, Chewy style.
To complicate things even more, the third contestant was the Ferrari 488 GT3 “Scuderia Corsa”, of corsa. This second scud was driven by Snake Jaguar, a secret identity belonging to Zane from Ninjago. But, today, the white ninja was also playing a third role: The Masked Revenger. Why was he masked? Because he was Zane. As a ninja, he frequently wore a mask. What revenge was he seeking? We don’t know, yet. On whom was he seeking this revenge? Also yet to be revealed. The greater point was that he liked that name, and he was sticking to it. The details could be worked out, later.
The race began. Chewy took an early lead, until Olivia’s rocket fuel boosted her vehicle over his hoary head. Zane-er, The Masked Revenger - threatened to ruin everything by waiting behind while he calculated all potential physical variables involved in racing. Zane looked up, with that goofy Zane look in his eyes. “ The time for Maths has ended, “ he announced, “ The time for Revenge has come.” Zane covered his brow furrowed countenance with the Mask of Vengeance. And, he began to spin.
Then he spinjitzued his Scud past both competitors to the Finish Line, which was top of the LEGO Minecraft Mountain Cave. It would seem that Zane and the Mountain Cave had some history. It had to do with an incident from the past. The Mountain Cave had, in Zane’s opinion, grievously cheated him once in a game of Foursquare. Zane had never forgotten, but only in his secret identity as Snake Jaguar in his second secret identity as The Masked Revenger could he find his satisfaction.
As the Mountain Cave crumbled over the other two contestants, Boost - Enhanced Stormbringer flew overhead, and saved Olivia from the carnage. Somewhere in space, Mickey’s rocket fueled Roadster is still flying. Chewy was disqualified when in frustration he threw his Scuderia Ferrari SF 16-H at the Masked Revenger. The Revenger ducked, and then lithely hopped onto the detachable drone from Snake Jaguar’s bike. He took off the Oni Mask of Vengeance, in order to better survey the damage which he had wrought. 2,863 pieces were strewn mostly hither, but, more than a few yon, as well.
Zane used rarely seen Reverse Spinjitzu to rebuild the Mountain Cave in a matter of moments.
