The Listening Station

Chapter 4

Rise of the Earth Dragon,

The Purple Frontier, and The Long Wall

Unfortunately for Dareth and Kai, these moments of reflection occupied their only allotted time for preparing a defense. Of course, they knew not what was coming; only, that it demanded their unconditional surrender. To their credit, that demand seemed a tad unreasonable, or, at least, unsustantiatable . Not so, however, for very long.

When they opened their eyes, they were in a strangely constructed domicile. It seemed to be an oval in shape. The walls were apparently all sand green slopes. There was neither doors or windows. Also, in some way, each of them was in a private cell, yet which somehow overlapped with the other’s: they could see each other, but not touch each other. This was quite a surprise. It had literally taken place in the proverbial blink of an eye.

“ Hey, that’s not very fair, “ said Kai.

“ Like, I don’t dig these crazy digs, “ responded Dareth. He walked through Kai. “ And, that’s just wrong.”

“ Don’t do that again, “ said Kai, “ It made me feel funny.”

“Yeah, me too. Like, maybe I was turning a little red, inside my head. And now hair looks like you’re copying mine. Dark Brown Minifigure, Hair Swept Back with Forelock  is a signature move of mine. If you don’t mind.”

Meanwhile, back to the Listening Station for an update. The Purple Frontier was busy consuming the last pieces of the station. It was particularly enjoying the dragon’s wings. Meanwhile, it was undulating and growing, like huge green rolling hills and broad, strong towers of tan bricks. The ground beneath heaved as in the middle of an earthquake, and became one with the Earth Dragon. The Long Wall, which was it’s third ancient name, had arrived to make it’s presence known . It can’t really be said to have a mind. Yet, it I mistakenly had a goal: To Occupy Ninjago. It would seem that the Listening Station had somehow drawn it’s most formidable enemy to Ninjago, and then provided a path for this foe to enter.

It was, indeed, a huge space monster. It was over two thousand years old. It had many names: The Earth Dragon. The Purple Frontier. The Long Wall. Treeta and Jeff Runagates, this story’s co-authors, knew it best in it’s present name: Lego Architecture Set 21041, The Great Wall of China.

The Purple Dragon was headed directly for that hub of trouble in Ninjago, Jumanaki City( of course).

And so, it slithered merrily along it’s way, snorting and whistling to keep itself company.
