PEGAX DRONE MAIDEN WARRIOR in Drone Wars
Zeux was the little yellow canary who made her living as the official mascot of the Duplo Minnie Mouse Bowtique. Minnie was off at her Birthday Party so the Bow-Ti-Q was closed. Minnie’s cat, Julius, always got an invite to Minnie’s nearly daily Birthday Parties. [ see Duplo Set 10873:Minnie’s Birthday Party-Ed.] Not so, for Zeux. She was left behind, to, “Make sure the store doesn’t burn down.”
Zeux found this task more palatable when she took the secret identity of: PEGAX DRONE MAIDEN WARRIOR. In these stories, the brave drone, PEGAX, would save the Bowtique from attacks by robbers, floods, or the occasional volcano. The question of why they built the Bow-Ti-Q between an active volcano and a raging river, adjacent to the seamier, crime-ridden underbelly of Capital City, never came up. Minnie would come home from her 51st Birthday Party this year ( so far ), and never know what threats to life and wing had risen to destroy her beloved house of beauty.
One day - I think it was Minnie’s 76th Birthday Party- PEGAX DRONE MAIDEN WARRIOR had already saved the Bow-Ti-Q from the fire from the LEGO Juniors Fire Patrol Suitcase. She was now busy binge-watching her new favorite show, Skull Cave. It was the second spinoff series from the Creator 3-in-1 hit CW series, Treehouse Treasures. Like most prequels, it left something to be desired, like originality. But that didn’t stop PEGAX DRONE MAIDEN WARRIOR from devouring the first 3 ½ seasons. The poisonous spider was just attacking the teddy bear when the whole Boutique collapsed on PEGAX, who quickly changed identities back to little, helpless Zeux.
“ Well, stuff my mouth with bird see,” she thought - because that is what she had just done. Looking up, she espied the perpetrator of the unprovoked attack: the evil LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Drone Explorer. It was using it’s landing gear to double as a lifting claw, and the Duplos they were a’flyin’. The drone snickered, rather meanly.
Non-plussed, Zeux paused to give the neighbor drone boy a dirty look. Then, she sprang into action. She used her 1x2 pink plate tablet to unleash her ( take breath ) Customized Volvo Concept Wheel Loader Zeux Mapping Drone into a head on collision with the Drone Explorer neighborhood troublemaker. The impact was like LEGO fireworks. Visibly shaken, the Creator 3-in-1 Drone Explorer quickly transformed into his third model, a Swamp Boat.
“ Sorry, Pudding Head, but there ain’t no swamps around here, “ said PEGAX DRONE MAIDEN WARRIOR. She savagely pecked the Swamp Boat into slightly less than 109 LEGO pieces. Crestfallen, he rebuilt himself into an orange Propeller Plane, and hobbled off. “ Stupid cuckoo bird! “ he muttered.
“ You have met PEGAX, DRONE MAIDEN WARRIOR, daughter of VOLVO CONCEPT HAULER, “ announced Zeux, using her low dramatic voice.
Just then, Minnie and her cat got back from the BirthdayParty. They surveyed the damage. Taking a deep breath, Minnie said, in that irritating Minnie voice, “ Well, Zeuxie, you’ve got some buildin’ to do !”
