...the bell Rings for thee. Ring is a disarming force in this universe. Her father was a powerbroker who wanted to make sure she would never be in danger. He gave her the ability to fire concentrated rings of energy, which generate huge amounts of air pressure in their wake. When fired in succession, that alternating barrage of pressures is strong enough to tear heavy metals to shreds; not much can stand up to it, especially as Ring concentrates the beam. Despite her powers, Ring is gentle and sweet, always looking to defend the weak against those who would exploit them. That all changed when Poacher swept her out of her life, and into his world of gloom and horror. Under his influence for years, Rings intellect and personality were dismantled, leaving her desperate for Poacher's touch. Deep down, that kind young girl still lived, and with help from Shifty, and to a lesser degree Doc, she was able to escape Poacher's hold. Shifty took Ring under her wing after, and the two would become very close, as Shifty helped bring back her personality and mind.
