She created the next leap forward in robotics soldiers, the Cadet class. Calvin celebrated with her and her team, sleeping over at her facility. He woke up months later to find the place abandoned, and his mind having been uploaded into a special Cadet unit, with no memories of how or why. As Cadet, Calvin now has access to any number of energy based tools, from blades to blasters to shields, and can fly at hypersonic speeds (his upper limits are still in question). While being a Cape is fun and helps distract him, Calvin still has a lot to learn, not just about what happened to him, but what makes a human, human. He has help from his mentor and friend Hank (the Mechanical Man), who brought Calvin onto his APF team, while also taking up the challenge of helping return some of Calvin's humanity, starting with a digestive system, so Calvin can get back to eating; a loss he laments over daily.
